The team’s thirteen forwards include centers Michal Handzus, Peter Harrold, Anze Kopitar, Trevor Lewis, Brad Richardson and Jarret Stoll. The left wings are Alexander Frolov, Raitis Ivanans, Teddy Purcell and Ryan Smyth. Right wings include Dustin Brown, Wayne Simmonds and Justin Williams.

On defense, the Kings start the season with seven defensemen: Drew Doughty, Davis Drewiske, Matt Greene, Jack Johnson, Alec Martinez, Sean O’Donnell (suspension continues for the first two regular season games) and Rob Scuderi.

The goaltenders will be Erik Ersberg and Jonathan Quick.

Forward Richard Clune will start the season on injured reserve, retroactive to September 26, due to a groin injury.

  1. This is a much better roster than last season. Gone are the days when we ask ourselves “Can Matt Moulson score 20 goals on the top line?”.

It’s nice to see Trevor Lewis make the team. I think he’ll be very good on that fourth line and can fill in on the top lines when someone gets injured.
