LA Kings To Face Vancouver Canucks In First Round Of NHL Playoffs

UPDATE: Fox Sports West or Prime Ticket will televise all games in the Vancouver Canucks/Los Angeles Kings first round playoff series. Radio broadcasts to move to KLAC AM 570.


On the strength of a come-from-behind, 2-1 overtime victory over the Colorado Avalanche at Pepsi Center in Denver on April 11, combined with a 3-2 overtime win by the Detroit Red Wings over the Chicago Blackhawks in Chicago, the Los Angeles Kings ended the 2009-10 regular season in sixth place in the Western Conference and headed for a first round playoff matchup against the Vancouver Canucks.

After trailing since near the midpoint of the first period, the Kings took over in the third period.

Kings center Jarret Stoll deflected a point shot by defenseman Matt Greene that beat Avalanche goalie Craig Anderson at the 15:28 mark to tie the game. Read more of this post
