Los Angeles Kings Sign Free Agent Forward Patrick Mullen

EL SEGUNDO, CA — On April 3, the Los Angeles Kings signed unrestricted free agent forward Patrick Mullen to a two-year, entry-level contract.

Mullen, 22, is the son of Hockey Hall of Fame member Joey Mullen, who played in 16 seasons in the National Hockey League with the St. Louis Blues, Calgary Flames, Pittsburgh Penguins and Boston Bruins. He is a three-time Stanley Cup winner with the Flames in 1989 and the Penguins in 1991 and 1992. He was also the first American-born hockey player to score 500 goals and register 1,000 points in the NHL.

Patrick Mullen scored four goals and added 21 assists for 25 points with 39 penalty minutes in 38 games for the Denver University Pioneers this season. Read more of this post
