Frozen Royalty Audio: LA Kings-Canucks Game 3 Morning Skate

EL SEGUNDO, CA — Not everyone was on the ice at the Los Angeles Kings’ morning skate, prior to their Game 3 contest against the Vancouver Canucks tonight (April 19, 7:00 PM PDT at Staples Center).

Head coach Terry Murray made it an optional skate and a good number of players decided to take the time to rest and heal, while others took to the ice to stay sharp, and Frozen Royalty was there for the post-practice interviews, including more extensive interviews with Murray and the players than you might find elsewhere. 20 Minutes Isn’t Enough: Kings Outworked By Coyotes, 2-1

RECAP: The Los Angeles Kings were unable to shake off the after-effects of the two-day Christmas break until the third period on Friday night as they dropped a 2-1 decision to the Phoenix Coyotes at Staples Center; features post-game audio interviews.

LOS ANGELES — Perhaps they went a bit overboard with their Christmas holiday celebrations, or maybe they just drank too much egg nog.

Whatever the reason, the Los Angeles Kings came out of the two-day Christmas break looking rather sluggish in a 2-1 loss to the Phoenix Coyotes, disappointing an announced sell-out crowd of 18,118 fans at Staples Center on Friday night. Read more of this post

Holiday Wishes For The Los Angeles Kings?

On Tuesday night, the Los Angeles Kings had one of their wishes come true…on the strength of first period goals by Raitis Ivanans and Patrick O’Sullivan, a third-period marker by Peter Harrold and 24 saves by rookie goaltender Jonathan Quick, they broke their four-game winless streak (0-2-2) with a 3-0 shutout win over the Columbus Blue Jackets at Nationwide Arena in Columbus.

The Kings are now home for the holidays, enjoying their time off with family and friends, just like the rest of us. In the spirit of the holidays, Frozen Royalty wants to know…
