Avalanche Creates Confusion For Kings In 4-3 Shootout Win

LOS ANGELES — The Los Angeles Kings have struggled lately against the Colorado Avalanche and despite the fact that the Avs were without star center Joe Sakic on Saturday night, those struggles continued as the Avs disappointed an announced sell-out crowd of 18,118 fans at Staples Center by handing the Kings a 4-3 shootout defeat. Zeiler and Moulson Head to Manchester

EL SEGUNDO, CA — On November 3, the Los Angeles Kings activated forward John Zeiler from injured reserve and loaned him to the Manchester Monarchs of the American Hockey League, their primary minor league affiliate. The Kings also assigned left wing Matt Moulson to the Monarchs.

Zeiler, who will be 26 years old on November 21, suffered a groin strain during training camp and was placed on injured reserve on October 3.

Moulson, 25, scored a goal in seven games this season.

Kings Send Two More To Manchester

EL SEGUNDO, CA — On October 3, the Los Angeles Kings assigned defensemen Davis Drewiske and Joe Piskula to the Manchester Monarchs of the American Hockey League.

The Kings also placed right wing John Zeiler on injured reserve due to a groin strain. He joins forward prospects Marc André-Cliche; (separated shoulder) and Richard Clune (broken bone in chest) on the injured reserve list.

Los Angeles Kings 2007 Training Camp Days 2 and 3

EL SEGUNDO, CA — The second and third days of the Los Angeles Kings 2007 training camp were highly competitive affairs as players fighting for roster spots in the very short camp were battling it out, both in scrimmages and in drills, trying to make a good impressions on the coaches and scouts in attendance at the Toyota Sports Center in El Segundo, California on Tuesday and Wednesday.

On the second day of camp, the Kings got an idea of what their line combinations and defensive pairings might be on opening night.
