LOS ANGELES — Kari Lehtonen was a one-man wrecking crew of sorts, thwarting the Los Angeles Kings at every turn, and leading the Dallas Stars to a 2-0 win over the Kings at Staples Center on March 21.

It was one of those games for the Kings, who dominated play through two periods, getting one quality scoring chance after another. But Lehtonen stood on his head to keep the Kings off the scoreboard and gave his team a chance to win.

LOS ANGELES AND EL SEGUNDO, CA — Although the Los Angeles Kings are ranked fifth in the Western Conference heading into action on March 9, consistency has not been their strong suit through 22 games in this abbreviated season.

Although they have won nine out of thelr last twelve games, all one has to do is look at their sluggish 3-5-2 start, some incomplete efforts, and games in which the defensive blunders are glaring, and it leads one to question just how far this team can go this season.

Frozen Royalty Audio/Video: Defensive Breakdowns Doom LA Kings in 5-2 Loss To Dallas

LOS ANGELES — Jaromir Jagr scored two goals, Cody Eakin scored a goal and added an assist, and Jamie Benn contributed two assists to lead the Dallas Stars to a 5-2 win over the Los Angeles Kings in front of a sell-out crowd of 18,118 fans at Staples Center on March 7.

Alex Gogligoski also tallied two assists for the Stars.
