One can imagine Los Angeles Kings head coach Terry Murray sitting in the coaches room with a big smile on his face tonight.
Indeed, after a less-than-lackluster effort in a 2-1 loss to the Phoenix Coyotes at Staples Center on Friday night, the Kings, from the players to the coaches, all talked about coming to the rink prepared to play, both mentally and physically and putting in a solid, sixty-minute effort, something they failed to do on Friday night.
Their poor effort was a sore spot for them and they responded with the solid, intense, sixty-minute effort they were looking for in a 4-0 shutout victory over those same Phoenix Coyotes, this time in front of a disappointed crowd of 16,199 fans at Jobing.com Arena in Glendale, Arizona on Saturday night.
