LOS ANGELES — Scott Parse and Jarret Stoll scored goals, but Jonathan Quick was the big star for the Los Angeles Kings, who squeaked past the Calgary Flames, 2-1, in front of an announced crowd of 13,853 fans at Staples Center on Monday night.
Parse opened the scoring at 8:54 of the first period on a nifty move in front of Calgary netminder Miikka Kiprusoff.
Flames forward Curtis Glencross answered at 15:39, beating Quick with a backhand from the low slot. Read more of this post
