EL SEGUNDO, CA — As they prepared to head off on a five-game road trip that will take them to the East Coast and into Canada, before ending the trip in the Midwest, the Los Angeles Kings players were talking about the need for greater consistency in their play.

But head coach Darryl Sutter had other ideas, and had some rather pointed comments in his post-practice press conference.

LOS ANGELES — Claude Giroux and Wayne Simmonds scored goals while Steve Mason stopped 37 shots to lead the Philadelphia Flyers to a 2-1 win over the slow-starting Los Angeles Kings during a matinee affair at Staples Center in Los Angeles on December 6.

Justin Williams scored the lone goal for the Kings.

Frozen Royalty Video: Post-Game Interviews with Muzzin, Nolan, Regher after 4-1 Loss To Chicago

LOS ANGELES — The Los Angeles Kings got off to a rather sluggish start their contest against the Chicago Blackhawks on November 29 at Staples Center in Los Angeles, and that was all the Blackhawks needed, as they had a fairly easy time handing the Kings a 4-1 defeat.

After the game, Kings defenseman Jake Muzzin and Robyn Regehr, along with the Kings’ lone goal scorer in the game, forward Jordan Nolan, spoke to the media. You can watch video of those interviews below (video of interviews with Muzzin and Nolan cannot be seen elsewhere).

EL SEGUNDO, CA — The Los Angeles Kings returned to practice ice after the Thanksgiving (in the United States) holiday on November 28, skating in a faster-than-usual session.

After practice, goaltender Jonathan Quick talked about sitting out two consecutive games while backup goalie Martin Jones played instead, and defenseman Alec Martinez talked about his recovery from his finger/fingernail injury/surgery.
