In other news, on October 27, the Kings activated forward Marc-Andre Cliche from non-roster status and have assigned him to the Manchester Monarchs of the American Hockey League, their primary minor league affiliate. Cliche was immediately named captain of the Monarchs.
The Kings Care Foundation also released a commemorative check to thank their fans for the $29,374 the foundation donated to Children’s Hospital Los Angeles as part of the Twitter charity “hashtag” battle during their game at Colorado on October 23.
Here are the highlights from the final two games of the trip, a 3-1 loss at Chicago on October 27 and a 5-2 victory at Dallas on October 26, from NHL Video On YouTube

Congrats to Cliche on the Captaincy. The Hashtag competition was even mentioned on NHL radio, when so many other charities go unnoticed. I’m glad it was such a success.
