September 29, 2010 1 Comment
LOS ANGELES — Jack Johnson scored two goals and tallied an assist, Anze Kopitar contributed four assists, and seven players recorded multi-point games, leading the Los Angeles Kings to an easy 8-3 win over the Anaheim Ducks in pre-season action at Staples Center on September 28.
The Ducks looked completely lost defensively throughout the game, giving the Kings an easy go of it, so easy that the game was already a 4-0 laugher after the first period.
NOTES
- In addition to Kopitar and Johnson, Kings with multi-point games included Dustin Brown, Wayne Simmonds. Michal Handzus, Ryan Smyth and Andrei Loktionov. Each scored a goal and added an assist.
- The Kings were 4/7 on the power play.
- If the Kings win one of their next two pre-season games it will mark the 21st season they will have a .500-or-better record in the pre-season.
- The Kings were 4-1-1 against the Ducks last season.
