22nd Annual Dave Taylor/Jim Fox Annual Cystic Fibrosis Golf Classic Benefits Cystic Fibrosis Foundation

The Los Angeles Kings Alumni Association, the Kings Care Foundation and the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation – Southern California Chapter, are once again sponsoring the annual Dave Taylor/Jim Fox Annual Cystic Fibrosis Golf Classic, benefitting the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, on Monday, June 14, 2010 at Moorpark Country Club in Moorpark, California.

The tournament, now in its 22nd year, has raised over $3 million for cystic fibrosis patient care and research.

Cystic Fibrosis is a debilitating hereditary disease that affects the lungs and digestive system of about 30,000 children and adults in the United States and 70,000 worldwide. A defective gene and its protein product cause conditions that can lead to life-threatening lung infections, obstructions of the pancreas and it stops natural enzymes from helping the body break down and absorb food.

By participating in this event, you will be joining in the fight against the disease and in the search for a cure.

Kings alumni already committed (with more to come) include trainer Pete Demers (dinner only), goaltender Gary Edwards, right wing Nelson Emerson, right wing and current and current television color commentator Jim Fox, defenseman and current assistant coach Mark Hardy, right wing Glen Murray, defenseman Brad Norton, left wing and current Kings President/Business Operations Luc Robitaille, right wing Dave Taylor and defenseman Ian Turnbull.

KingsVision host and Fox Sports West television personality Heidi Androl will also participate.

“Voice of the Kings” Bob Miller and radio play-by-play announcer Nick Nickson will host the tournament dinner.
