I'd really be surprised if Richardson is around after the trade deadline. As well as he has played with the Kings, its the best that he's played in his career, but if there is a Kings trade to be made before the deadline, I think he would be the one to go. Sell when they are at a high!

I'm guilty of not paying attention very much to the Kings over the last couple of years. I've watched almost every game this year. When those two guys are on the ice, you have to pay attention. You know the puck isn't going to spend much time in our end and every 15 to 20 shifts their hard work pays off. Not every player can serve that function on a team, and most that do aren't in their early 20's. At the risk of dating myself, both of these guys remind of John Tonelli. Like them, John was a guy that made everybody on the ice look better.

Richardson really had nowhere to go but up after last season. He took advantage of the injuries to guys like Smyth and Williams which seems to have improved his confidence and given him a chance to show what he can do next Kopi. Simmonds has continued to develop according to at least my expectations. If he can continue to get bigger and get better, I could see him becoming a 2nd line player. Keeping my fingers crossed but guys like Simmonds and Doughty have been able to avoid the "sophomore jinx".
