hey allright .... nice to see some other folks on here for a change ....... and another thing we need to put to rest regarding drafting and trading dean lombardi style - dean lombardi did not make the joe thornton trade okay people - he was blown out of san jose long before then ...... nobody on here has said that, its just im getting real sick and tired of seeing kings fans saying this false fact ........ but anyways on to the goalies ...... i still believe we should trade bernier now for penner if we can ...... im not saying the oilers would do it ... i have no inside connections with kevin lowe or anything ....... im just saying , in my opinion, nobody is going to take quicks job ..... quick is da man .......... so im just busy dreaming of a line zues frolov and penner ..... wow .... wow .... talk about big bodies working the cycle ..... and they can all score and have great hands ..... wow ......... then we can just let frolov walk during the summer and justin williams will fit in perfectly on that line when he is back to health next season ....... i mean williams would plug right in perfectly and that stopper / scoring line wouldnt miss a beat ...... that way our cap would be about the same as now because we gain penner contract and lose frolov and they both make about the same .... so its a perfect trade off ............ that way we will still be under the cap like dl likes and we would have enough money for doughty and simmonds when they come up for contract ....... if we did this deal for penner, and got rid of jones and ivannis ...... then we would have the perfect team ..... wouldnt even need kovulchuk in the summer ...... but anyways, those are my 2 cents worth ..... oh and by no means am i bagging on bernier ...... im sure hes great ..... but its just i believe quick is the man for sure, and we have zatkoff for the future ..... so in my opinion , bernier is expendable for penner .... anyways just dreaming and having some fun .... kings will probably just make a trade for a has been like whitney or somebody anyway .... but just dreaming .... kopitar playing great ..... doughty already is a superstar - and paired with scuderi, practically impossible to score on ............... i will now change my screenname here on ganns site to chris , since i no longer believe we are clipper like

This is a rare occurrence where the Kings have ended up in the best possible situation: Quick has thrived since being called up to the big club, and Bernier has put things together on the farm. I'm glad that Lombardi didn't try to rush Bernier to the NHL, and that he administered tough love when Bernier was sulking about not being up with the Kings. If both show they can be a #1 guy at the NHL level (Quick is close) then the Kings will have a big decision to make in 1-2 years.
