LA Kings Activate Simmonds, Segal; Place Stoll On Injured Reserve

EL SEGUNDO, CA — On December 26, the Los Angeles Kings activated forwards Wayne Simmonds and Brandon Segal from injured reserve and they placed center Jarret Stoll on injured reserve, retroactive to December 15.
Stoll is undergoing rehabilitation work to recover from a groin strain and is listed as day-to-day.
Simmonds, 21, suffered a torn meniscus in his left knee and was placed on injured reserve on December 16 (retroactive to December 11). He underwent surgery on December 14 to repair the injury. He returned to practice with the team on December 21.
The 6-2, 193-pound native of Scarborough, Ontario has scored nine goals and has added fourteen assists for 23 points in 33 games this season.
Segal, 26, was placed on injured reserve with a lower-body injury December 8 (retroactive to December 2). He also returned to practice on December 21.
The 6-2, 209-pound native of Richmond, British Columbia was recalled from the Manchester Monarchs of the American Hockey League, the Kings’ primary minor league affiliate, on November 23. He made his debut with the Kings on November 25 at Edmonton.
In 21 games with the Monarchs, Segal scored six goals and added eight assists for fourteen points with 34 penalty minutes.
