EL SEGUNDO, CA — On March 27, the Los Angeles Kings announced that center Jarret Stoll will miss the team’s remaining regular season games due to a groin injury. To replace Stoll, center Brian Boyle has been recalled from the Manchester Monarchs of the American Hockey League, their primary minor league affiliate. Read more of this post

LA Kings goaltender prospect Jeff Zatkoff in goal for the ECHL Ontario Reign.

Jeff Zatkoff and Linden Rowat are backstopping the Ontario Reign, the Kings’ ECHL affiliate.
Zatkoff, 20, began the season with the Reign and has earned a 16-14-1 record with a 2.94 goals-against average (GAA), a .915 save percentage and one shutout in 34 appearances (1,981 minutes played).
Prior to joining the Reign, Zatkoff played three seasons with the Miami University (Ohio) Redhawks of the Central Collegiate Hockey Association (CCHA).
Last season, Zatkoff earned a 27-8-1 record with a 1.72 GAA, a .933 save percentage and three shutouts. He led the CCHA in goals-against average and save percentage and was ranked second in both categories in the NCAA. He also ranked second in the CCHA in wins and was tied for second nationally. EL SEGUNDO, CA – On March 23, the Los Angeles Kings assigned forward/enforcer Kevin Westgarth to the Manchester Monarchs of the American Hockey League and announced that winger Alexander Frolov will miss the next 7-10 days due to an undisclosed upper body injury. Read more of this post

ONTARIO, CA — In his second game with the Ontario Reign, the ECHL affiliate of the Los Angeles Kings, 19-year-old defenseman Colten Teubert had the puck on his stick, moving it up ice with his team on a crucial power play, trailing the Phoenix Roadrunners with a little over five minutes left in their game on March 21. EL SEGUNDO, CA — On March 20, the Los Angeles Kings announced that defenseman Denis Gauthier will miss the next one to two weeks with an “upper body injury,” believed to be a hand injury. They also activated winger Justin Williams from injured reserve and have recalled defenseman Davis Drewiske from the Manchester Monarchs of the American Hockey League, their primary minor league affiliate.
