Pronger, Ducks Edge Kings in OT, 3-2

Chris Pronger scored two goals, including one in overtime, to lead the Anaheim Ducks to a 3-2 overtime victory over the Los Angeles Kings in pre-season action at Honda Center in Anaheim on Wednesday night.

Chris Kunitz also scored for the Ducks in the second period, while Michal Handzus and Brian Boyle scored second-period goals for the Kings, who are now 3-0-3 in the pre-season.

Erik Ersberg went all the way in goal for the Kings, allowing three goals on 30 shots, while veteran Jean-Sebastien earned the win for the Ducks, also going all the way in net, making 26 saves.

NOTES: Right wing Alexander Frolov, who had been suffering from a sore groin, saw his first action in the pre-season in this game and contributed an assist on Handzus’ goal. Defenseman prospect Drew Doughty also tallied an assist on that goal and was named the number two star of the game.
