Smyth, Avs Skate Past Kings, 5-2

A quick recap…

Two second-period goals by Ryan Smyth and another one by Ruslan Salei led the Colorado Avalanche to a decisive 5-2 victory over the Los Angeles Kings at Pepsi Center in Denver on Saturday night.

Once again, a poor second period sealed the Kings’ fate.

Los Angeles got goals from Michael Cammalleri and Rob Blake.

Anze Kopitar assisted on both goals.

The Kings go right back at it on Sunday at Minnesota (4:00 PM PST, televised in the Los Angeles area on FSN West).
